Throughout the course of my career, I have come in contact with many builders, and have had the opportunity to see not only newly finished product - but have also seen builder's product after the test of time. I have witnessed, and observed the varying degree of emphasis placed on customer service by different builders and am especially aware of extra challenges facing those who are contracting the construction of their new home from afar. Successful builders are beginning to embrace the contributions of Realtors, and find that providing a "sales representative" for their construction clients is a valuable service, keeping the lines of communication freely flowing. They are discovering that contracting a Realtor in this capacity, not only saves them time, but makes for more satisfied clients resulting in more construction referrals.
